Through the shadows, I saw them: a line of raccoons expertly navigating that exact gap. It wasn't a dead zone for plants; it was a high-traffic wildlife highway. In that moment, something clicked. I realized that nuisance wildlife isn't just out in the woods—it’s moving right through our backyards, using paths we’ve been trained to overlook.
From then on, I stopped just looking. I started seeing.

Once I humanely trapped that first raccoon, I was hooked. I quickly realized that nuisance wildlife management is a unique puzzle. Every animal behaves differently, every property presents a new challenge, and the rules change the moment you think you’ve figured them out.
It’s an ever-changing line of work that requires true trapper’s grit and a deep understanding of animal behavior. After several successful seasons resolving wildlife conflicts for neighbors, the drive to build a professional, licensed service grew. I wanted to protect more homes, manage more species, and offer homeowners reliable, long-term peace of mind.

Our first year in business as Hwy2Raccoon was a whirlwind. We quickly found a passion for licensed beaver trapping, successfully managing water levels, removing dams, and protecting private land from structural flooding.
